งานประกาศรางวัล The Game Award ประจำปี 2020 ที่เพิ่งผ่านมามีเกมต่าง ๆ ที่คว้ารางวัลสาขาต่าง ๆ ภายในงานกันไปอย่างมากมาย ซึ่งบางเกมก็เป็นไปตามที่คาดการณ์ของเหล่าสื่อ แต่ก็มีบางเกมที่ผลออกมาผิดคาดเหมือนกันโดยเฉพาะรางวัลใหญ่ Game of the Year ที่ในตอนแรก The Last of Us Part II คะแนนโหวตนำอยู่ แต่หลังจากที่มีคนดังทั้งในและนอกวงการเกมออกมาให้ความเห็นกัน ซึ่งหลังจากนั้น Ghost of Tsushima เกมที่มีคะแนนอยู่อันดับ 2 ก็แซงขึ้นมาทันที แต่ท้ายที่สุดพอถึงวันประกาศผลก็เป็น The Last of Us Part II ที่คว้ารางวัลไป Game of the Year 2020 ไปครองอย่างสูสี ส่วนรางวัลในสาขาอื่น ๆ ทั้ง 30 สาขาก็มีรายชื่อเกมที่เข้าชิงและคว้ารางวัลไปได้ดังต่อไปนี้
